EMMA PEIRSON – WRITER- CAVEWOMAN

Having graduated with an Honours Degree in Dramatic arts (Producing, writing, directing and performance) from A.F.D.A (The South African school of film, television and dramatic art), Emma Peirson is a writer, director and producer for theatre and television, as well co-owner of Frosti Lemon productions specialising in anything from corporate and industrial theatre to events management, musicals and well made plays.

Writer and director of Defending The Cavewoman and co-writer of the soon to be seen new television comedy- 10% OFF!, Emma was nominated for best playwright and Best director at AFDA from 1997-2000...winning best supporting actress in 1999 and best director, playwright and production for Defending The Cavewoman in 2000. She has been nominated for two VITA awards- 2000 for best new performer in a comedy (In Deon Opperman’s PLAYBOYS) and in 2002 for best new South African script (Defending the Cavewoman). Productions she has been involved in include, A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, EQUUS, VICIOUS CIRCLE, IT'S FUNNY WHEN YOU'RE DEAD, PLAYBOYS, BAD HABITS, CYRANO DE BERGERAC, IMPROMPTOO ZOO, REQUIEM, MAGSPEL, SEX LIES AND LEOPARD CRAWL and VERE. Her latest show, the international hit, “100% Sex Therapy” is running to great acclaim in Johannesburg, South Africa, as well as the successful musical comedy sketch show “The Cheap Show”
