Defending
the Caveman by Rob Becker opened on Broadway at the Helen Hayes Theater
March 1, 1995 and ran until June 1997, when it embarked on its national
tour. It is the longest running solo play in Broadway history.
The hit one person show comically and affectionately explores the
differences between men and women, and has entertained over 2,5 million
people in The U.S since it began in San Francisco in 1991.
The actor and writer Rob Becker is a man around 45 years old,
presenting him as a loving, lazy “regular man and husband”.
In 1999 Theater Mogul bought the rights in several European countries
and started of July 2000 in Berlin in a 650-seat theater “Arena”
a few weeks the show was sold out and the word of mouth
was incredible. People came again for second and third time
up to unbelievable ten times with new friends.
The show is still running for a full house in Berlin and other cities
in
Germany as well as other counties all over the world with great success.
